Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing. ~Harriet Braiker
The guy in this pic is no doubt with a smokin' hot babe. His outfit though, is a bit much.
Back in the day I'd see something really flashy attached to something I wanted, and I'd automatically make the connection I would need to be that flashy in order to get what I wanted. Natural Logic. The truth is though, his outfit wouldn't be the reason why he gets chicks, it's definitely who he is as a guy. And if that's the case, then he could just as easily roll into that place without any gear on and still be fine. If he can't, well then...
We make many silly assumptions in our head we don't know about. Most of them hurt us in the long run. The most common and destructive is the assumption that because you know a little bit about female psychology and alpha man behavior, that you are not permitted to screw up at any point in time. You must Hook/Kiss/Bang every girl you attempt! This thinking is your main source of hesitation, neediness, and inferiority. And no, Negging doesn't make you any more superior and any less needy.

A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault. ~John Henry Newman
Nobody can pick up every girl in the world. It's impossible. If you see how it would be impossible to pick up every girl, than you must also accept the fact that the next girl you run into might reject you. It's a fact of life.
But why bring this simple truth up? It sounds quite negative doesn't it?
It is vital that you realize the importance of the reason why I brought this to your attention. A big part of your anxiety, nervousness, and tentativeness comes from you not allowing yourself the possibility of failing. You don't even give yourself a chance to fail! Which also means you don't give yourself a chance to succeed.
There are many nuggets of gold from my pal Bruce in that video. But the one I want you to remember is, "You must learn the Art of Dying." To learn how to lose/die/get rejected, is to be liberated from it. Bruce was right when he says everyone only wants to learn the way to win, but never how to accept the way to lose.
Learn the Art of Dying my friends.
